Alfred Mousa, PT, DPT

Dr. Thomas Mousa, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, is a fellowship-trained physical therapist and the owner of A.B.E. Rehab in Sarasota, Florida. He specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, post-operative recovery, and performance-focused physical therapy.

Thomas began his career as a Physical Therapist Assistant before earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He later completed advanced fellowship training in orthopedic manual physical therapy, earning recognition as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). He has also earned his Diploma in Osteopractic Physical Therapy and is certified in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training.

His postgraduate education includes extensive training in orthopedic manual therapy, spinal manipulation, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, and advanced rehabilitation techniques designed to help patients recover efficiently and return to the activities that matter most to them.

At A.B.E. Rehab, Thomas takes a hands-on, individualized approach to care. Rather than simply treating symptoms, he works to identify the underlying movement limitations, strength deficits, and mechanical factors contributing to pain or injury. Treatment may include manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, strength and conditioning, blood flow restriction training, radial shockwave therapy, Class IV laser therapy, and other evidence-based interventions when appropriate.

His goal is simple: help patients move better, recover faster, and return to the activities they enjoy with confidence.

In addition to clinical practice, Thomas serves as an adjunct professor in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Keiser University, where he educates and mentors the next generation of rehabilitation professionals.

Whether you are recovering from surgery, dealing with a persistent orthopedic condition, returning to sport, or simply trying to stay active and pain-free, Thomas is committed to providing personalized, high-quality care built around your goals.
